The G90 Series from Takamine has evidently been developed for performing guitarists who are looking for something special. The guitars included in this series are certainly modern but also refined. The GD93CE-NAT is a dreadnought steel-string which, like the rest of the guitars in the series, has a solid top for the best possible sound production. This model is designed for the performing and recording musician since it also has a cutaway for better reach at the higher frets and has a built-in pickup and preamp.

Takamine GD93CE-NAT: Solid Top Construction

The GD93CE has a solid spruce top to shape its deep and bright tone. To add even more warmth and to accent the blonde top, the sides have been made using rosewood while the back is a piece of rosewood shot through with a stunning and detailed piece of quilted maple. The slim and incredibly comfortable mahogany neck is finished with a rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets and, like the body, has been given the added and elegant touch of maple bindings.

Electronics

For performing and recording, the GD93CE is fitted with Takamine's very own extensive TK-40D preamp. Here, you'll find a volume control and 3-band EQ to shape your onstage sound, next to a Mid Contour pot to add some boost to the mid frequencies (400Hz) and deliver some punch and rounded attach to your overall tone. The Notch Filter seeks out any frequencies that might be causing you unwanted feedback while an auto-chromatic tuner with LED display keeps your tuning in check.
